The terms for using this site, and how our work, estimates, and payment are handled.
Last updated September 1, 2026.
These terms apply to your use of this website and, where noted, to restoration services provided by Shield Restoration in Erie, Pennsylvania. Using this site means you accept them. Work performed on your property is governed by the written work authorization and scope you sign, and where anything here conflicts with that signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
This website is not an emergency contact method. Forms are monitored, but if you have an active water, fire, or biohazard emergency, call (814) 480-9422. Do not wait for a reply to a form submission. If there is a risk to life or safety, call 911 first.
The guides, articles, and FAQ answers on this site are general information about restoration work in Northwest Pennsylvania. They are not a professional inspection of your property, and they are not legal or insurance advice. Every building is different, and what applies to a typical loss may not apply to yours. Do not rely on this site in place of having someone qualified look at the property.
We work with all insurance carriers and will document your loss and communicate with your adjuster when you ask us to. We are not your insurance company and we do not decide what your policy covers. Coverage is determined by your carrier under your policy. You remain responsible for payment of the work performed, including any amount your carrier declines to pay, your deductible, and any work you authorize that falls outside the claim.
Emergency response times quoted on this site are targets based on normal conditions and our location in Erie. Severe weather, road conditions, and simultaneous large losses affect them. You will be given a real estimated arrival time when you call. You are responsible for providing safe access to the property and for disclosing known hazards, including asbestos, lead paint, and structural damage.
Shield Restoration performs mitigation and remediation with our own certified crews. For repair and rebuild work we use qualified subcontractors and trade partners in addition to our own staff. We remain your point of contact and are responsible for the work performed under our contract.
We stand behind our workmanship. Specific warranty terms, duration, and exclusions are set out in your signed agreement. Warranties do not cover damage from new events, from failure to maintain the property, from conditions we identified and recommended correcting that were not corrected, or from work performed by others.
The content, layout, text, and images on this site are the property of Shield Restoration, except for third-party marks such as the IICRC Certified Firm badge, which belong to their owners.
To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, Shield Restoration is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or reliance on the general information published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for the performance of restoration services, which is governed by your signed agreement and applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the courts serving Erie County, Pennsylvania.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
